Closing the Year with Purpose Through a Rewarding Food Waste Workshop with Hainan Tan Clan Association

Holocene is glad to conclude our final workshop of 2025 with the Hainan Tan Clan Association through a session focused on understanding food waste and the important role each individual plays in addressing it. Ending the year on this note was especially rewarding, as members came together with a shared interest in taking action for the environment.
Sustaining the Momentum
Members explored how proper food waste segregation at the source supports composting efforts and reduces waste sent to landfill, showing how simple daily habits contribute to a more circular and sustainable system. The session also highlighted how collected food scraps can be upcycled into organic compost, giving participants a firsthand look at how collective action can transform waste into a valuable resource.
